The garage is a unique space in the home as it can be whatever you want. A man cave or she-shed. If you want to learn to paint or start the next IBM or Google, a garage is as good a place as any.

Adding storage to the garage is a great way to get more value and free up valuable space in the home. Here are some reasons our clients choose to add garage storage.

1. Seasonal Storage

If you’re looking for a way to get your garage organized, consider using overhead racks and storage bins. This will create a designated space for items you use seasonally, and keep them out of the way so you don’t trip over them. Plus, it will make it easy to find what you need when you need it.

2. Overflow Pantry

Buying supplies in bulk can save you money but where are you going to store these bulk items? One option is to create a large deep “Costco cabinet” in the garage to use as your second pantry. By creating an overflow pantry, you’ll always have access to the supplies you need without having to make multiple trips to the store.

3. Hobbies

Having a dedicated storage area for your hobbies in the garage is a great way to keep your workspace organized and tidy. Epoxy or floor tiles are a great way to finish the garage floor, and adding a workbench with wall cabinets can help you keep all your tools and supplies in one place. Having a designated space for your hobbies can help you stay focused and motivated to work on your projects.

4. Sports Gear

So you have 3 children, and each child plays 4 sports and has 2 bikes, a scooter, ski’s and a skateboard. No wonder the cars don’t fit.

Sports gear can quickly take over your garage if you don’t have a good storage system in place. With a few well-designed storage solutions, you can keep everything organized and out of the way.

Wall-mounted storage is a great way to make use of vertical space in your garage. You can install shelves or cabinets above your workbench or along the walls. This is a great place to store seasonal sports equipment, like skis and golf clubs.

Personalized lockers are another great solution for storing sports gear. You can label each locker with your child’s name and have them keep their own gear organized. This way, there’s no more digging through piles of gear to find what you need.

Doors are another great way to keep your garage looking clean and clutter-free. If you have a lot of gear, you can install doors on your shelves or cabinets. This way, everything will be hidden away when you’re not using it.

With a little bit of planning, you can design a storage system that will keep your garage organized and clutter-free.
